Latest Suffolk County Rebate Programs

As a homeowner in Suffolk County you may be eligible for any one or all of the following grant or rebate programs that may be able to pay for the entire cost of upgrading your septic system.

In addition the following information is available for additional grants:

1. Suffolk County Septic Improvement Program (SIP) - Grants typically pay up to $10,000 of the cost but could be more. Go to the www.reclaimourwater.info web site for the latest information or email [email protected]
   
   
2. NYS Septic Improvement Grants - Grants for up to an additional $10,000 are administered through the Suffolk County SIP program. Send an email to [email protected] for more information on the state grant fund availability
   
   
3. Low interest rate loans are available for septic replacement with zero application fees and zero closing costs. Go to cdcli.org/septicloanprogram/ for more information.
   
   
4. Town Rebate programs are available for the following towns and can be used in conjunction with the County and State programs:
   
   
   1. East Hampton - A rebate of up to $16,000 for residents if you meet eligibility criteria. Click HERE for the updated application for Town of East Hampton residents.
      
      
   2. Southampton - A rebate of up to $20,000 is available if you meet eligibility criteria. Go to www.southamptontownny.gov/1083/IA-OWTS-Rebate-Program#_blank for more information
      
      
   3. Shelter Island - A rebate is available that can pay for the entire cost of the system if you meet certain eligibility requirements. Go to www.shelterislandtown.us/forms/ to find out more information.
